Meet Dr. Melissa Jarrell

Dr. Jarrell graduated in the top 5 of her class at the Lousiana State University School of Dentistry in 1996. She distinguished herself by receiving multiple Clinical Achievement Awards from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.

She was elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the Highest Dental Academic Achievement Award) which includes only the top 5% of dentists in the nation.

Because of her accomplishments in dental school, she was accepted into a very sought-after hospital residency program where she received post-graduate training.

Continuing education (with an emphasis on new technologies, comfortable dentistry and esthetic dentistry) remains an important part of her professional life. She is a member of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Jarrell welcomes the opportunity to care for your dental needs and will do everything possible to make your visits pleasant.

Pam

Hello, my name is Pam, and I joined Dr. Jarrell’s team in the summer of 2002. I am here to help you book your appointments, and answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding your financial agreements. I am also in charge of processing both your insurance and personal payments.

Rebecca

Hello, my name is Rebecca, and I began working here for Dr. Jarrell in the winter of 2004. I am the scheduling coordinator. My job at the office is to perform the numerous administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, preparing insurance claims, assembling treatment plan estimates, and helping you to the best of my abilities. I bring 14 years of experience to this office, and am glad to be part of the team here at Family and Cosmetic Dentistry of Kokomo.

Kathey

Hello, my name is Kathey. I joined Dr. Jarrell’s team in the spring of 2005 as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant. My job is to assist Dr. Jarrell to give you the most up to date and comfortable treatment available today. I have over 11 years of dental experience and I place fillings, take impressions, and take dental x-rays. I like to keep things organized so that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

You will only have to meet or speak to Kathey once to appreciate her warmth and caring approach to our patients. Her constant smile and great attitude put us all at ease, especially during the busiest of days.

Sherrie

Hello, my name is Sherrie. I have been employed here by Dr. Jarrell for 9 years as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant. I guess time really does fly when you're having fun! Most of my time is spent working chair side with Dr. Jarrell. I place fillings, take impressions, take dental x-rays, and do all I can to ensure your comfort.

Being the longest serving staff member, I can honestly say that Family and Cosmetic Dentistry of Kokomo is a great place to provide quality dental care in a relaxed, fun and friendly atmosphere. I started with Dr. Jarrell when she moved to Kokomo in the Spring of 2000 and the practice was transferred from Dr. Richard Lasbury to Dr. Jarrell. I have known many of you for a number of years because I worked with Dr. Lasbury for 19 years. I feel like we are all one big family.

Hello, my name is Jessica. I started working with Dr. Jarrell as a dental assistant intern in the fall of 2005 when I was a student at Eastern High School. After graduation I became an employee. I take care of sterilizing instruments, disinfecting the treatment rooms, and making sure the rooms are ready for your treatment. I enjoy greeting you on the way to the dental chair and assist the team as needed. I like the comforting family atmosphere I have found with Dr. Jarrell and the rest of the team

Hello, my name is Katie and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist (R.D.H.). I have worked in dentistry for 8 years, the last 4 here at Family and Cosmetic Dentistry of Kokomo. One of the most challenging and rewarding aspects of my job here for Dr. Jarrell is providing individualized treatment for patients' specific needs. It is gratifying to see them respond and I still marvel at how much better people feel when they have healthy gums and a brighter smile. I guess you could say, "We create healthier smiles at Family and Cosmetic Dentistry of Kokomo".

Hello, my name is Donna and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist (R.D.H.). I have been with Dr. Jarrell part time since Winter of 2003. I have over 18 years of dental experience and I love to keep your mouth in great condition by seeing you every 3-6 months for dental cleanings. We perform an oral cancer screening and check for periodontal disease every 8-12 months at your regular visits. I enjoy listening to your concerns and like educating patients about the benefits of a healthy mouth.
